Alibis for Calling in Sick
There are many reasons a person might call out sick from work. The most common one would be, you are actually sick. You could also have a sick child or spouse and feel the need to take care of them or take them to the doctor. You might also have a toothache or a migraine, which could be very serious and painful and need immediate attention.
If you just are not real fond of your job or just want to stay home. You could come up with an alibis for calling in sick. You might say you have a stomach virus, and you are vomiting and and have diarrhea. You may want to say you think you might have food poisoning and are going to the emergency room. You would want to let your boss know you have been up all night sick, you have taken several kinds of medicines, and nothing is helping. You might also say you caught a cold from your child, and now you are both sick, you have a fever and are contagious. You could tell your boss, you have called your doctor, but they were not in yet, so you are waiting for them to call you back.
Other excuses for not going to work might be your car will not start. You might even go so far to say you have been in an accident, or perhaps, just broke down on the side of the road, you have called and you are waiting for a tow truck to arrive. If you are a chicken, you may want to simply send a text or email, to call out sick, instead of actually calling in sick, if this is acceptable at your company.
Be very cautious when giving an excuse that isn't true, because your employer might just call you out on it and want proof to verify your story. If you are a woman, you can use the ever popular, I have 'female problems'. You could even elaborate you are having unbearable cramps or heavy bleeding.
For example: You say you are sick~they might want a doctors note, or they may want to bring you medicine or some nice warm chicken soup and some gatorade. You say your car won't start~they may want to come get you.

If you have supposedly been in an accident, they will want to come see if you are alright, they may want to come to your aid and be by your side and be supportive. If they don't really believe you, they may just ask if you are ok and want a copy of the accident report, and will expect to see your car damaged or see it in the shop for repairs. The same would apply, if you say you are broke down, they will want to come pick you up.
If you call out sick, do not go to the beach and get a sunburn, or you will tell on yourself. Also, do not get on your social networks, such as FaceBook and tell everyone you are off work and going to do something fun, your boss may just check into that. It is frowned upon to call out sick on a Monday or Friday, so avoid those two days if you can.
Statistics show that atleast 30% of people call out of work every year when they aren't really sick. There are also a lot of people that use very bogus excuses that are not even considered to be true, such as: 'my grandma is getting released from jail today', or 'my toe is stuck in the faucet', 'my dog died', 'my bird bit me', and even the sad one of, 'I read too much'. These might sound funny, but the sad part is, we must make up excuses not to go to work, because we simply don't feel like going, or have errands to run.
Bottom line, if you are going to call out from work, you better have a good alibis ready and some handy excuses to back it up. There is an alternative, they now have websites that you can get fake excuses to turn into work. For a small fee, you can have all the proof you need to back up your story.
Unfortunately, that can backfire too, if your employer calls to verify the note, so be careful when calling out of work for unjustifiable reasons. Also, be careful, I am a firm believer in being honest, so this is not something I would do, because I believe in Karma, and I feel like if I lie and say I was sick when I wasn't I will be sure to get sick. It has also been proven that almost 29% of employers check into these alibis, when people call out sick, so beware!
